Capital campaign will support Nazareth facility improvements

Lancaster, Pa. (October 17, 2022) –Fulton Bank, a subsidiary of Fulton Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: FULT), today announced a commitment of $25,000 over five years toward the Greater Valley YMCA in support of its Nazareth Capital Campaign.

“We are truly grateful for this donation toward our Nazareth Capital Campaign,” said David Fagerstrom, President/CEO. “Through the generosity of partners like Fulton Bank, we will be able to make the Nazareth facility an even greater hub for the local community.”

The Nazareth YMCA has been serving the community for more than 100 years, having opened its doors in 1918. Each year, 5,050 members and program participants come to the Nazareth Y looking for community and support for a healthier life.

“We’re proud to be a long-time supporter of the Greater Valley YMCA,” said Chris Brown, Commercial Market Executive, Fulton Bank. “It’s through partnerships like these that Fulton Bank can give back to our community and help change lives for the better.”

The capital campaign funds will go toward the improvement of the original building, constructed in 1918. The renovations will include ADA improvements throughout the entire building to ensure the Y is accessible to people of all abilities. Additionally, the funds will support construction of an entire floor of childcare classrooms and a commercial kitchen to provide care and meals for up to 100 preschool-aged children. Other improvements include replacing mechanical systems to ensure energy-efficiency, updating the gymnasium and indoor track, and improving the building’s exterior while honoring its historical significance to the community. The campaign will also create a space for community partners to meet, when needed. The Fulton Bank commitment will begin in 2025.

The Greater Valley YMCA is a volunteer-led, nonprofit, community organization. The Y is committed to strengthening community by positively changing lives every day. At each of our Branches, the Y concentrates its efforts in three areas: Healthy Living, Youth Development, and Social Responsibility.
