Greenlight FAQs
Greenlight is a savings solution built with families in mind. With Greenlight’s debit card and app, parents can pay allowance, assign chores, and help their kids learn to earn, save, spend wisely, and invest. As a Greenlight account holder, you can:
- Send money quickly
- Turn the card off via the app, if needed
- Receive alerts whenever the card is used
- Set store-level spend controls to help kids learn to budget
- Automate allowance payments
- Manage chores (and reward a job well done)
By enrolling for Greenlight through the Fulton Mobile app, you can access, and fund Greenlight accounts directly in the Fulton Mobile app, as well as directly in Greenlight app.
Kids can request and receive money quickly from you right in their app. They can also use their pay link to receive money from friends and family — with your approval on every payment.
Kids and parents log in to the same Greenlight app but have two different experiences. Parents can send money, set flexible controls, and more. Kids learn how to manage their own money while staying safe and connected to the family.
Yes! As soon as your child’s card has been activated, they can add their Greenlight card details to Apple Pay® or Google PayTM to tap and pay in an instant. Subject to Apple Pay® or Google PayTM age requirements.
We support kids and adults of all ages. No minimum (or maximum) age here.
Parents can also block unsafe spending categories. Plus, Greenlight sends real-time transaction notifications, lets parents turn cards off at any time, and gives parents flexible ATM and spend controls.
Greenlight Card Accounts are issued by Community Federal Savings Bank, member FDIC and the funds are FDIC-insured up to the applicable limits. Greenlight Card Accounts also come with fraud protection through Mastercard’s Zero Liability Protection Policy.

Yes, you can link your child’s card to Apple Pay® or Google PayTM for secure, contactless payments from their mobile phone (subject to Apple Pay or Google Pay age requirements). You may be required to call and validate your Greenlight account information when adding the card to your child’s phone.
Greenlight cards are accepted anywhere Mastercard is accepted, online, and in-store. As the cards are intended for use by kids, there are restrictions in place to ensure the card cannot be used at certain companies and retailers. Greenlight can be used internationally in 150+ countries with no foreign transaction fees.
The base Greenlight account is free of charge to Fulton Bank customers when you enroll/connect a Fulton funding source to your Greenlight account.
